Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of WebCSV ("the service", "we", "us"), a collaborative spreadsheet editor. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

The service

WebCSV lets you create, upload, and edit CSV spreadsheets and collaborate on them in realtime. Sheets are shared by link: anyone who has a sheet's URL can view and edit that sheet, whether or not they have an account. Treat sheet links accordingly and don't put data in a sheet that shouldn't be seen or changed by anyone you might share the link with.

The service is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce paid plans in the future; existing functionality may change or become part of a paid tier.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 where required by local law) to create an account. You're responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Account registration requires a valid email address, which you must confirm before the account becomes active.

Your content

You own the content you create or upload. You grant us the license needed to operate the service: to store, transmit, display, and back up your content, including making it available to anyone who opens a sheet's link. We don't claim ownership of your sheets and we don't use their contents for anything beyond providing the service.

You're responsible for the content you upload. Don't use the service to store or share content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or contains malware; don't abuse the service (spam, excessive automated load, attempts to bypass limits or access others' data). We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content on the service infringes your copyright, contact us at support@webcsv.com with the sheet URL and details of the claimed infringement, and we will review and respond, including removing content where appropriate.

Availability and data

We aim to keep the service available and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Inactive sheets may be moved to archival storage and restored on access; sheet edit history may be discarded in that process. Sheets not associated with an account may be permanently deleted after six months without views or edits. Sheets owned by an account are not deleted for inactivity — create an account and open your sheets while signed in to keep them indefinitely. We may modify or discontinue the service; where practical we'll give notice and an opportunity to export your data.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time; to delete your account, contact us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date, and continued use after changes means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
